Description
Cat vs. Rattlesnake AT NIGHT https://youtu.be/PGnPJjpJuPY is the video source for this artistically modified image. It is a monochrome version of the digital rendering of The Cat and the Snake. The story is the same except for the somewhat enigmatic title. Both of these animals live in a harsh environment - the Sonoran Desert of the United States in my home state of Arizona. The cat belonged to my neighbors who told me he was “one tough cat.” Any cat surviving the wilds of the Arizona outdoors would have to be - contending with all manner of dangerous wildlife like rattlesnakes and coyotes who are responsible for many domestic animal deaths in the desert. That is why it is crucial to keep your pets indoors at all times if you want them to live long. Also, as I stated in my description to the other artistic depictions of this incident, if I had been awake and seen what was happening, I definitely would have taken measures to separate and save these animals from harm. Fortunately, my neighbors said that the cat was not injured from this incident. It appears that the snake survived as well. So I would deem that these particular animals were living in a temporary type of “blue zone” here where they lived much longer than what is normally expected from these kinds of events in the harsh environment of the desert southwest!
