Burrowing Owl on a Stick Canvas Print

This burrowing owl is perched over a cornfield in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona at sunset. The ground next to agricultural areas in the desert makes great burrowing sites for these owls. They use power lines, poles, and whatever they can find to perch and scout the area for rodents and other small animals. The owl was filmed on May 28, 2009 against a gorgeous sunset backdrop with a flock of blackbirds flying to and fro behind it singing their beautiful songs of spring - a spectacular soundtrack!
