The White-Crowned Sparrow (Zonotrichia albicollis) returns to the Sonoran Desert of Arizona in the fall. I was pleased to see a gorgeous little male sharing a bath with a pretty little female house finch (Carpodacus mexicanus) on October 25, 2018 where I live, about 50 miles south of Phoenix.
