Artist's Description

This is a Rose-breasted Grosbeak, a beautiful songbird whose range does not include where I live - the Sonoran Desert of Arizona bout 50 miles south of Phoenix. From about 2005 to the spring of 2016 when this picture was taken, we would see them on rare occasions. My neighbor and I have plenty of documentation in photos and videos. But this is the last time I saw one out the window. I wish they would come back - we miss them!
