Manus Canvas Print

This is an abstracted photograph of a mixture of clouds and contrails in the skies over the Sonoran Desert of Arizona on November 28, 2018, at least in my part of it. The word manus has several definitions - all equally valid here. A manu may refer to the biological digit of a vertebrate like a finger or a limb. The long tendrils of white reminded me of digits or arms reaching down to embrace the earth. Manus also refers to power over people or things, and was commonly used during Roman times. Clouds can exhibit great power over events on the earth. A lesser known definition of manus is a non-Earthly race of beings who kick-started humanity - like angels or devas. Many folks believe that devas are the highest form of nature spirits who have creative dominion over the sky. lands, and the sea. So take your pick! At any rate, I believe it’s a lovely skycape that would beautify anyone’s life, no matter your manu!
