The time was twilight in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona during winter. A crescent moon had risen in the unique position so that it shown in between the creosote bush branches where this little hummingbird was perched just singing away. Fortunately, I was in the right place at just the right time to capture this charming silhouette. While the iconic desert picture is a coyote howling at the moon, I thought why not a dreamy little hummingbird for a change? (Taken on January 9, 2019, in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona, about 40 miles south of Phoenix.)
