This is “Little Buddy” - a gorgeous male Costa’s hummingbird whose territory includes my front yard. His personality is as bright and radiant as the golden hour itself. The magic of the early morning and sundown hours are the best times to catch him just singing away at the top of a Palo Verde tree — his main perch. This picture was taken on February 23, 2019, but two days later I got some special video footage of him stretching and fluttering his wings.
