The Sonoran Desert of Arizona is most beautiful in the spring. Here is a gorgeous hillside slope dotted with saguaros - the cactus icon of the west. This photo was taken in the late afternoon of March 16, 2019, during the magic hour when the contrast between light and shadow is most illuminating.
