I took this photograph of a rainbow stretching over a trail in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona about 50 miles south of Phoenix on February 3, 2018. Unlike summer monsoon rains, winter rains in Arizona are much gentler. They also tend to produce rainbows in gentler skies like portrayed here as well — deep blue with fluffy white clouds! Rainbows are symbols of happiness, promise and hope, and that is what I wish all of you. Happy trails from way out west!
