Description
A spring shower in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona blessed us with this brilliant rainbow just as the sun was going down, creating contrast and beautiful displays of light and shadow on the ironwood tree. Fresh wildflowers were glistening at the base of the tree as doves perched above sang a duet. This exquisite corner of the desert southwest is about 50 miles south of Phoenix in northwest Pinal County.
