Description
I had this iconic picture perfect saguaro cactus (Carnegiea gigantea) with what must have been its nursery plant - a beautiful green palo verde tree, but it was taken way back when with a camera from way back when as well. So I thought it would be fun to make a pop collage with it. Wikipedia says the saguaro is an arborescent cactus species because it can grow to be over 40 feet tall. I also say it is anthropomorphic because it comes in as many different shapes and sizes as humans do - if not more. They only exist in the Sonoran Desert in Arizona, the Mexican State of Sonora, and the Whipple Mountains and Imperial County areas of California. So any time you see one in an old John Wayne movie supposedly taking place in Texas, don’t be deceived — they don’t live there and never did! Here I’ve turned three of my pop saguaros into a triptych that can be purchased as a single image seen here, or as three separate panels to arrange according to personal preference.
