This plant with bright red berries was photographed at the Boyce-Thompson Arboretum in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona, USA. I’m not sure what the plant is - if it is native to Arizona or not - as it was near the entrance with cultivated roses. Many cacti have edible red berries - including female Desert Hackberry - which are delicious. But this plant was not that. In any case, I believe it was an excellent candidate for selective coloring in red.
