This is a black and white treatment of a photograph of a rare desert fog witnessed on December 22, 2016 in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona about 50 miles south of Phoenix. The plants in the foreground are creosote - one of the most ancient plants on Earth. Here they are covered with sparkling dew drops left by an early morning mist and the lifting fog.
