Product Details

Our luxuriously soft blankets are available in two different sizes and feature incredible artwork on the top surface. The bottom surface is white. Our 100% polyester blankets are available in two different styles: plush fleece and sherpa fleece. Plush fleece blankets are soft and fluffy on both sides, whereas sherpa blankets are smooth like a soft sweater on the artwork side (i.e. shorter threads) which provides for a sharper image. Looking for a recommendation? Go with a 60" x 80" plush fleece blanket. It's soft and luxurious on both sides... the artwork looks incredible... and the size is just right for everyone.

Artist's Description

The year 2018 in Arizona was known for its bountiful blessings of rainfall in its desert and snowfall in the higher elevations. This gave way to one of the most extensive and long-lasting wildflower seasons ever seen. I know because this picture was taken on October 19, 2018, and this beautiful butterfly would not have been there if that were not the case. Even though I didn’t catch lighting on one of those gorgeous wildflowers, I was able to get off a quick shot while it rested briefly on a neighboring creosote bush. I feel very fortunate for having done even that because butterflies are so elusive and difficult to photograph without more expensive equipment than my hybrid camera. This is what I consider to be one of the most beautiful butterflies of the Sonoran Desert - Pipevine Swallowtail (Battus philenor) with its black wings of blue-green-purple iridescence. This one is most likely a male because there are no visible spots on the forewings as there are on the female....

About Judy Kennedy

Judy Kennedy

Judy Kennedy (a visionary wayward muse) is a nature mystic and disabled visual media artist specializing in the Arizona Sonoran Desert. The Sonoran Desert is the United States' most ecologically diverse desert - especially in the state of Arizona. With an abounding love for her home, Judy's artwork and videos mostly feature wildlife in its natural setting with accompanying landscapes and skyscapes as varied and unique as her stylistic expressions. She serves this inimitable beauty and hopes that her art inspires others in their own conservation efforts. Judy is also a versatile writer of creative nonfiction and a composer of music which can be heard in many of her videos. Her YouTube channel alone has well over 1100 subscribers. ...
