This is “Little Buddy” - a gorgeous male Costa’s hummingbird whose territory includes my front yard. I caught him doing his morning stretches during golden hour, singing his wake up song. The top of this Palo Verde tree is one of his main perches and where I often take photos of him. I live in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona about 40 miles south of Phoenix, and these photos (along with a video you can watch on my YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/ByZyGTlPras ) were taken on February 25, 2019.
