Description
Desert Globemallow (Sphaeralcea ambigua) is a bright orange wildflower that flourishes in the desert southwest of the United States after rainy winters and springs. Such was the case with these that I captured on March 16, 2019 in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona about 50 miles south of Phoenix. They were blooming on the bank of a desert wash under the canopy of a lovely Mesquite tree.
