Description
Anything can be a mandala if it’s round. But most mandalas are both round and composed of symmetrical patterns that are symbolic of wholeness. Therefore they are usually considered wholesome, healing, and pleasant to look at. Mandalas are also a form of art used in spiritual practice that aim at centering and grounding oneself in multi-dimensional awareness. They are not exclusively Eastern in origin. Mandalas have been made and enjoyed since the beginning of time because they are an instinctive response to the externalizing of nature’s reproductive energies.
My mandalas are made with an exquisite program on my iPad mini whose name is Evangeline. That’s the explanation for the title of the series. Evangeline’s mandalas are painted with light. While I control colors and other parameters for this artistic expression, the outcomes I credit to my sweet little familiar — in spirit, albeit digital, Evangeline. Using a partícular mandala requires naming it, and after contemplating that issue, she usually whispers the name into my inner ear. The rest is magic (as always)!
