Description
The Desert Cottontail Rabbit, also known as the Western Cottontail or “Audubon’s Cottontail” (Sylvilagus audobonii), is a very hardy bunny. It is difficult to capture good photographs of them because they don’t stay still for long, unless they “freeze” for a moment, like this one here. I was lucky to get this one. As prey animals, they’re very adept at avoidance maneuvers when frightened. When not, they’re lots of fun to watch - especially interacting with other bunnies with their binking and all.
