This image was captured on June 15, 2020 in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona.
I was on the ground trying to photograph this prickly pear cactus bloom from different angles when I happened to look up and saw this little White-Checkered butterfly flying away. I don’t know if it was me or the cactus but I distinctly heard, “Come back, come back!”
