In the Sonoran Desert of Arizona, the winter rains are very different from the ones during summer monsoon season. They tend to be more gentle, steady, and short-lived. In the northern part of the state, they bring snow for skiiers. In the southern part, they bring beautiful rainbows like this one! My Ironwood Tree stands refreshed, and if you look real closely, I bet you could see the Giant Saguaro Cacti on the neighboring hills dancing with joy. That’s what I imagined on this exceptionally gorgeous day (2/3/19) in northwestern Pinal County about 50 miles south of Phoenix.
